There have been 202 incidents in the Rogerstone Ward area during the month of February which are broken down into the following categories

You’re Voice Priority Ward Update
Your Voice has now replaced the previously known ‘PACT’.
Your Voice Surveys were completed by residents during October both in person with local Officers and online via the web link and is now closed.
The results of the voice survey for the ward area have now been published
The Ward priority for Rogerstone is ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR IN THE 14 LOCKS CANAL CENTRE AND THORNBURY PARK AREAS

Actions/Activities by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team
Patrols have been carried out in the ward priority area of Thornbury Park with nothing to report for the month of February.
Patrols have been carried out in the ward priority area of 14 locks canal centre with one incident of criminal damage to a bin being report to the local team by a member of staff.
There were several calls during the month concerning youths throwing stones and acting in an anti-social manner and causing various types of damage to both vehicles and premises in the following areas Risca Road, Thornhill Way, Oak Road, The Uplands, Wern Terrace and Church Street these incidents all occurred on the same evening.
Reports were received about drug mis-use in the area of Wern Industrial Estate, due to the prompt action of the local neighbourhood team a person was dealt with for drug offences.
Reports have been received about off road motor bikes on the canal path towards the motorway this area is now part of the local patrol plan.
A male has been arrested on suspicion of committing a number of burglaries across the Newport area.
There appears to be a trend towards youths thinking that throwing stones at premises and vehicles either moving or stationary is an extremely good idea at this present time.

Friday 31st of March at 14 Locks Canal Centre 1pm to 2pm
